Bali Pass

The Bali Pass trek peaks at just under 5000m, connecting Yamunotri from Harki Dun. Heritage villages and Govinda National Park are at a distance of 66 km.The trek includes high altitudes, challenging terrain and encounters with Himalayan wildlife. Villages like Osla and Janki Chatti reflect local culture. Planning from Sankari is recommended, with base camp options to suit the climate. It is accessible from Dehradun and takes a shared bus or taxi to Sankari. The trek ends at Janki Chatti after visiting Yamunotri and Saptarshi Kund. The best times are before the rains (May-June) and in the autumn (September-October). This trek offers up-close views of Kalanaga and Swargarohini mountain ranges, wildlife encounters and mountain-like treks in Bali Pass. The challenge level ranges from moderate to challenging due to elevation gain, distance and technical navigation.
